For watch duty, Vidar is equipped as follows, unless someone suggests otherwise before he leaves:

+Wool Cap, Cloak, Gloves, Fur-lined Leather Vest, and Leather Boots (colder weather)

Professional Items: (wrapped in sealskin and carried in a decorated shoulder bag)

I assume there was someplace secure that we could leave behind some items and trust that they were not likely to be messed with. Is this the case?
