Hovik follows quietly along, saying nothing to anyone unless asked.

As the warband finally retires for the night, Hovik heads over to Kugald and speaks quietly to him.

"Kugald, tomorrow will be fine. I already told your cousin that it's all my fault. He already knows that it was my bad plan and my bad execution that let Rieke escape, and I'm sure he'll realize that what happened in Milnheim was entirely on me as well. I already told him that your only fault was in giving me too much leeway."

"So don't worry about it."

Barak will leave the horse with someone competant in equine matters.

Assuming that we're given the hospitality of Daas clanhouse then:- Bark takes his gear inside the house, along with whatever else he can carry of other people's gear. He is rather hopefully that there will be some decent food on offer. He dosn't like taking, when he has nothing to offer in return, but he dosn't want to go hungrey for a second night in a row, especially after not having a midday meal either. Whilst waiting, he'll get out his bedroll, then meticuously go through his kit, checking it is there, maintaining, and cleaning it. When everyone goes to sleep he will do so too. Since he dosn't think we're in any danger he won't take any special precautions for the night.

[OoC: Barak is obviously so upset by his confinement and missed meal, that the lunch in Upsala failed to impinge on his conciousness; he only remembers the cold salted porridge for breakfast.]

Having led one of the horses into the thran, Borygg will unload any equipment and carry it into the clanhouse. He will partake of whatever hospitality the clan offers and enjoy a good meal and warm place to sleep. As is his habit, he will keep his dagger at his side.

As Barak and Borryg lead the horses towards the stables Algared will follow, being aware that every left the unessential items there. He will help Barak and Borryg carry the load inside, setting what he carries down before greeting Thurgell and Madrin.

Thanking Thurgell for the hospitality of the Daas, he partakes of whatever is offered. After eating Algared excuses himself politely and gathers his gear, spending time sorting through and carrying out maintenance repairing, cleaning polishing whatever needs attention and is within his ability to do.

He watches Kugald knowing he concerned. This time they have met with failure and some of their problems have been their own making. He wonder's what words the Tejaal sends to the Daas, and whether Hovik or even he gave more away than intended. Knowing he did not try falsehood as he spoke to the Valhaker, and avoided saying more than the Daas mustered, as he endeavoured gain the release of all. Yet he also knows some men are gifted at reading the thoughts of others or in piecing together the words left unspoken.

Algared sighs deeply; it is also true something seemed to have stirred up the suspicions of the Tejaal but feels he may learn what caused such a response. Maybe it was merely their failure to show courtesy, maybe something Hovik and Thorin had said or done raised the Tejaal’s suspicions or possibly even Reike Gerbhert may have sought assistance. Regardless of the reasons the war band failed in its task and bought dishonour to the Daas.

Algared sits and ponders, lost in his thoughts before spending time in prayer to Sarajin followed by an hour meditating on the ways of the Shek P'var and the ethereal. Only then does he find a place to rest, hopefully letting sleep carry all his worries away.

Jurri will play some music and tell a few stories for our hosts in appreciation for their hospitality. He will then carefully pack his instruments away and prepare to sleep, knowing tomorrow will likely be eventful.

You make you way up the slight rise towards the Daas clanhouse, you can see from the glow of the torch that the gatehouse to the thran is closed. You each look at each other in confusion but Jurri smiles and says "all is ok" as you near the gate, Jurri raps twice upon the door and almost instantly the sounds of the gates being opened can be heard.

As the gates open you can see Thurgell and several other men standing nearby with spears and shields at the ready. Once they identify Jurri and his companions spears are lowered and you are all allowed entry.

Following Thurgell you are lead into the clanhouse where you are allowed to stow your equipment. The clanhouse appears much as it did when you visited previously. Around the hearth fire sits several women and children while a few older men join them. Thrugell seems to head the house competently, he apologises for not having anything warm this night - as you are served a loaf of rye bread, cold smoked pork, a portion of cheese and some dried apple.

Thurgell however orders some mead be served to help take the edge off his lack of 'hospitality'.

With the warband in a sombre mood, there is little in the way of conversation during the night. The family chat about thran details little is said about the Gerherbt's that has not already been disclosed but more to do with what crops are worth planting in what fields, where the sheep and goats should pasture during the day tommorrow and other like business.

Most of the warband sit by the fire and begin to sort out their equipment in silence, Thurgell asks for two lanterns to be brought out to provide you with some extra light to work with.

Once the warband have checked their gear they begin to prepare their sleeping gear. Thurgell takes the hint and him and the other clan members beg their leave to let you rest.

Finding whatever comfortable positions you can you drift off to sleep one by one, the last to sleep is Algared who struggles fighting off the effects of sleep as he tries to meditate. Despite his best efforts he finds himself unable to concentrate and gives up and retires for the night....
